“My vision is to capture inspiring beauty, adventure, and romance in my images. My favorite weddings are elegant, relaxed, international, and take place in the Finnish archipelago.”

Ok, so Jacqueline and Pontus wedding was not an elegant one. But it was even better: it was soulful, well-thought, DIY, intimate and personal. They’re two of the most considerate couples I’ve met. I’m stoked to have photographed their wedding. And met their families!

On their wedding, we captured just that – beauty, adventure, romance, and the Finnish archipelago.

“I am so happy with the entire experience with Maria Hedengren. I was immediately attracted to her work because of its crisp editing, beautiful use of natural light, and capture of emotion.

Maria was very communicative and extremely patient with my busy schedule. She was willing to accommodate photo location changes and schedule changes. Even though she had to travel quite a ways for my wedding, she took the extra time to scout local areas. Also, she was prompt and on time. During the couples session she was friendly, fun, and had some great photo ideas.

My husband was initially hesitant because of cost and time commitment. But he agreed that the experience was positive and results were well worth it. My family lives in another country and many of them were unable to attend. It means a lot to have such clear and beautiful photos to share. My mother in law also commented that she really appreciated having a professional photographer there because it freed her up to have fun and not worry about taking photos. Maria was careful to get photos of all of our guests as well as the decorations. Furthermore, she listened to what we wanted, and delivered very well.
