Helmiranta resort is one of the coolest party venues in west coast Finland. The resort is located outside Rauma, hidden between trees and built on a rocky hill overlooking the Baltic Sea archipelago. The party room is spacious, modern, and full of light. It extends towards the sea with a large terrace giving the most magnificent sunset views. The resort also has several modern cottages, so the place is perfect for events which bring in guests from afar. I’ve covered a few weddings there already, and I always enjoy going back. Weddings here are always some of the highlights of the summer.

What was extra special about Riikka and Juho’s day is that the wedding started in their home town, Eura. Riikka got ready in her parent’s home, and before heading to the ceremony we had time to take portraits in the garden. I remember I was a bit emotional at this point, because Riikka was so stunning in her Pronovias dress. The ceremony took place in Eura’s main church. Euran kirkko is maybe one of the most beautiful churches I’ve photographed in, and I hope I will get to cover weddings there again. Not only was the church stunning, but the ceremony was very touching, with beautiful singing and a glowing bride and groom.
