This is a song composed and sang by Rebecka at her first son’s baptism celebration. It is a song she wrote together with him, just after he was born: him doing the sleeping and her the composing.  I wept as she was singing, yes, I was crying right there in the front of the church. Happy tears, because I knew just how much Rebecka and Daniel have been waiting for Emanuel. “You are mine. And I am yours. Much, much loved. So very awaited. And so beautiful. Emanuel, God with us.”

What a wonderful attestation of God’s everlasting presence you are, Emanuel.

Nani, I think the alb is worn during liturgical services. This baptism was held at the end of a Sunday afternoon worship service, which takes place every second Sunday in Maunula church. www.petruspuls.fi

Nice work, Maria. :) I especially like that shot with a man with "I like you" shirt. Ha! :D
But I do find it strange that the reverend is not wearing an alb. Why is that? Was this a Lutheran baptism? (I think so if it were in Tapiola church.)
