International weddings are always close to my heat. There’s something truly special about bringing together friends and family who live all across the globe. I know that when people gather from far and near to celebrate one couple, that bride and groom must be two extraordinary humans. And for that reason, I’m always humbled to be part of their wedding, honoured to be the one documenting their day.

And what an honour to be witnessing Chloe and Lari’s day! Seeing the reaction of Chloe’s dad when she came down the steps; witnessing the emotion on Lari’s face when she entered the Varennes chapel;  or documenting the glow they both shared throughout the day.

Planning a Luxury Destination Wedding in France

Burgundy is a wonderful region with astounding French castles, distinctive wine, alluring landscapes: a perfect place for wedding celebrations. I’ve covered several weddings in Burgundy before (last year it was Emilie and Ben’s wedding at Chateau de Santenay), but Chateau de Varennes truly impressed me. This castle has the most perfect set up for a destination wedding in France. The estate is gorgeous: beautiful trees, alleys, gardens, and even horses. The grounds also include a swimming pool and a playground, perfect spots for organising a next day brunch. And of course, the castle offers all the modern comforts. But what I found most special was the estate’s very own little chapel. So if you’re planning a wedding here, you have many options. For example, you can decide for an intimate chapel ceremony, or an outdoor ceremony with fabulous backdrops. No wonder this place was named by CNN one the top ten best wedding venues worldwide!
