Crisp and Sunny Winter Engagement Session

An afternoon walk in the sun with two gorgeous people. I’m so excited for their engagement, congrats Anu and Jonte!

We had such a fun time during this shoot. I’ve been long dreaming of arranging a winter session at Lammassaari, because it is a rather rad location. Lammassari (Lamb Island) a recreational island close to Vanhankaupunginkoski rapids near Arabianranta. It is a perfect place for nature hikes and bird watching while there are thousands of migrating birds in the area every spring and autumn. When I first moved to Helsinki, I lived in Arabianranta, a short walk from this place. I used to take walks here in the weekends and fell in love with this place.

Lammassaari looks amazing in any season. In the summer there’s a lot more green here, but I wanted to capture the white birch trees surrounded by snow. We also ventured out on the frozen duckboards.
