Finnish Lapland is an exotic location for winter weddings: wilderness, reindeer rides and snow safari, frozen land, cozy winter nights, sleeping in igloos under the northern lights sky. It can therefore be an unforgettable getaway for honeymooners.

And if you’re looking for a place to experience Lapland, my foremost recommendation is Levi. Here’s why:

> Kittila airport is only 15 minutes away.
> While you could also fly to Ivalo, which is a bit further up north in Lapland, Levi is more elevated, and thus, likely to have more snow.
> Levi has many slopes for downhill skiing and snowboarding, and great tracks for cross-country skiing. But if skiing is not your thing, you can still take the gondola ride up to the top to enjoy the snowy views. @levilapland
