If you’re looking for a space in Helsinki where you can host your wedding and bring your own catering and your own drinks, Poliisien Kesäkoti juhlatila is such a great space. It is a simple venue where so much can be done, and it features such beautiful outdoor spaces.

Located along Saana and Emil’s dog walking route, the Poliisien Kesäkoti wedding venue features an iconic small pine growing out of a rock overlooking the sea. It is a gorgeous spot for an outdoor ceremony. Furthermore, Saana even experienced a wedding here as a child and feel in love with this spot. And so, choosing this pine as their wedding ceremony spot was only natural.

“I’ve been working a lot with self image and accepting how I look and what size I am in the last years, and was worried how I would feel looking at the pictures.

Not only did I feel and look beautiful in a lot of the pictures – somehow these photos make me able to appreciate also the ones where I don’t like some aspects of how I look. This is cheesy, but I think you somehow manage to capture the beauty of the soul, and while it’s easy to see that about other people, these pictures are the first time I can see it in myself – when I look tired or sweaty or big in the pictures, I don’t see it as ugly, but as a sign that I devoted time or energy to something important, like putting together the event in the week prior, or enjoying it fully even in the summer heat without worrying too much about how I look, or not worrying to pull my stomach in but just being myself.

That is incredibly valuable and healing, and unexpected as an outcome from the day, but something that will help me a lot for a long time to come if not always. I do not know how to say thank you enough for sharing your talent with us and providing me and us this experience.” – Saana

We love your immersion to personal details of the couples you work with. And I have to say, from the pics – in addition to the portraits, I love how you’ve captured our guests. The pictures from the dinner party and from the ceremony just capture the atmosphere so wonderfully and everyone looks so beautiful in the pics. They have all been in awe of the images too! And the pictures of us are somehow seamless – the portraits feel natural and the pictures from the party feel like a continuation of them. I didn’t expect this since I don’t usually feel comfortable in pictures or like how I look in them, but in your pics it’s still easy to feel beautiful.
